I was just in a collision yesterday I have a 2012 fusion s and after the impact I can not find out were the fuel kill switch is I am going back to the vehicle today to see if I can get it to start. But I have watched 2 or 3 videos and haven't got me anything useful does anyone know where this switch would be located. Is it under the glove box on the pass side or behind the seat on the driver side rear seat?

Doesn't have one ,has a fuel pump control module , fuel pump relay controlled by the PCM - engine computer , fuel pump diode Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop ,unless you know how to view a wiring diagram an use a DVOM - digital volt ohmmeter to test electrical circuits . ? Do you ? http://www.bbbind.com/free-tsb/ free wiring diagrams here .

These switch's very rarely go bad . Check the voltage at both sides of the inertia switch . Don't BELIEVE anything without testing . Your Fusion has electronic returnless fuel system , a FPDM - fuel pump driver module control's the fuel pump .I'm looking at a fuel pump wiring diagram for your vehicle and it doesn't show a inertia switch anyway . Your best bet , have it towed to the dealer .

I don't think this vehicle is equipped with a fuel/inertia cut of switch. If there is one, your owners manual will give the location and reset procedure

the inertia switch may have been tripped due to the impact of hitting the curb and blowing out tire. blame ford for this design because in the past they manufactured cars that would blow up during collisions. so all ford vehicle now come with a intertia switch to shut off fuel when it senses extreme impact. all you have to do is flip the switch and your car should start and run again. its a pain. look for location of switch in owners manual.

There is a safety switch called an Inertia switch and it has a reset button on it, It should be located around the front floor kick panels. When the right impact is generated, this will trip the switch.

You probably tripped the Inertia switch. This switch is a safety device for accidents and can work if a door or trunklid is slammed at the right frequency to trigger it. It should be located either above the front kickpanels or the trunk area.
The switch has a button and all that is needed is to push the button and hold it for a second or two and then release it. Inside the switch is a magnetic ball which makes a connection to connect the fuelpump. The magnetic ball sticks onto the button and if there is an impact, it drops.

the reset switch is located at the front "a" pillar near where your foot would kick, sometimes called the kick panel for this reason.....the switch is called an inertia switch becuase it shuts off the fuel in the event of a collision, now im from australia, where the driver sits on the right and the inertia switch is on the left, it is behind the plastic panel, be careful not to break as you bend it back,,,,,,,good luck
